As a general guide, pricing is usually calculated per square metre, with costs influenced by material thickness, labour, access, and curing time.

Minor Floor Levelling (Skim / Feather Coats):

Full Floor Levelling & Screeds:
For floors with widespread unevenness, significant height variation, or poor slab tolerances, full flood coats, liquid screeds, or traditional screeds may be required. These systems involve greater material volume and labour, placing them toward the upper end of the pricing range, particularly for thicker applications or large commercial areas.
Final pricing is always confirmed after an on-site assessment to ensure the correct levelling system is selected and the finished surface meets flooring installation requirements and Australian standards.

Required Build-Up Thickness:
Floors that need significant height increases—such as thicker liquid screeds or levelling applications exceeding 10mm—require more product and longer curing times, which can push costs beyond the typical $40–$65 per square metre range.
Subfloor Condition:
Damaged, cracked, or unstable concrete slabs and timber subfloors require additional preparation before levelling can begin. Repairs such as crack remediation or concrete cancer repairs must be completed first to ensure a durable result.
Levelling System and Materials Used:
Different floor levelling systems—such as skim coats, full flood coats, or liquid screeds—use varying products, primers, and application methods. The selected system directly affects overall pricing.

What Is A Minimum Job Charge?
A minimum job charge is a minimum amount you will bill the customer, applicable when a job is so small that charging per square metre doesn’t make up for the time spent on the job and administrative overheads of the business.
It should be noted that we don’t always charge a minimum job charge fee, but we do so when required.
Do We Have A Minimum Job Charge?
Yes, our minimum job charge is $2,500 (Inc GST)

Minimum job charges exist due to a large range of factors, such as, but not limited to:
– Paying the team member(s) who did your job a full day’s pay of $450 / per employee (Regardless of how long the job took)
– Paying 10% to GST
– Paying 35% to TAX
– Office expenses
– Paying for tools
– Paying for petrol
– Office staff salary
– Website expenses
– Paying for advertising
– What service(s) are required
– How many square metres the job is
– Paying for ICare worker’s insurance
– Travel charges (Long Distance Jobs)
– Paying for materials (such as cement bags)
– Paying for business insurance (Public Liability)
– Paying for waste disposal (Recycling whenever possible)
– Paying for things such as vehicle and tool maintenance/repairs
